Martin Kay

Physiotherapist - MSc, BSc (Hons), Dip Ortho Med, mCSP, Physiofirst registered, HPC registered.

Born in the North-West of England, Martin moved to Leeds in 1994 to study Physiology at Leeds University. On completing his first honours degree he then went on to complete his second by qualifying as a Physiotherapist at Northumbria University in 2000.

Martin worked at South Tyneside District hospital for 8 years, gaining comprehensive knowledge and experience in assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions. During this time he undertook his Masters degree in Manual Therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University and qualified as an injection therapist through a Diploma with the Orthopaedic Medicine Society.

From South Tyneside District Hospital he then worked for three years as a Consultant Physiotherapist at South Tyneside Intermediate Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment service (STIMATs). Martin now works full-time at Pier Physiotherapy Clinics. He is a keen footballer and also enjoys playing tennis and golf.
