Fitness guru David proves versatile to beat lockdown woes

A NORTH East fitness expert has turned a problem into an opportunity as lockdown restrictions are eased.
David Falrlamb was forced to go online with his fitness sessions due to the pandemic. And he also lost his existing gym due to the closure of the Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College in North Shields.
But today gyms can operate again - and David will become the first trainer in the UK to offer classes in a VersaClimber Hub.

David said: "Having built my business over the last 20 years to include three private personal training gyms and the first private self-contained floodlit outdoor gym in the UK, I was faced, in the toughest of times, with the landlord serving me notice to leave as they wanted to sell the property and land.
"Having no luck with negotiations I decided to look to the future and created my own custom-built gym within a warehouse on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate."
The gym includes a private area for one-to-one training, a bigger space for small groups and teams, an indoor/outdoor area for group strength sessions for sports teams and corporate clients plus a new first in the UK, a custom-built VersaClimber Hub fully optimised for sound and lighting.
The VersaClimber is a 75-degree vertical rail with pedals and handles which mimics the natural motion of climbing, which quickly burns calories while also,  as it is non-weight-bearing, protecting Joints.
