Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates was originally developed by physiotherapists in Australia and adapted from exercises originally designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s.
At David Fairlamb Fitness our physiotherapist runs classes specifically designed to target the deep postural muscles that lie close to the spine which sense and control spinal movement. For this to be achieved exercises are gentle and performed slowly in coordination with normal breathing.
We run small classes so the client and physiotherapist can work together to ensure correct technique.
Clinical evidence has shown that this form of exercise is effective in the prevention and rehabilitation of back pain.
