David Fairlamb Fitness works alonside Martin and Debbie from Pier Physiotherapy which is a leading private practice for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries and have over 20 years combined clinical expertise.

Debbie Arkley – Physiotherapist - MSc, BSc (Hons), Member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MMACP), Dip Ortho Medicine, mCSP, PhysioFirst Registered and HPC registered.
Debbie was born in the North East of England and graduated as a Physiotherapist in 1997 from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle.
Over the past 14 years Debbie has developed her knowledge and skills within the field of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to a highly specialised level. During this time she has obtained an MSc in Manual Therapy from Manchester University. Further perfection of her physiotherapy practical skills was attained through completion of the entrance examinations to become a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) in 2002.
Debbie worked in the NHS for 12 years following which she has worked privately within Pier Physiotherapy Clinic in Whitley Bay.
Debbie also enjoys working as an external lecturer at Teesside University on the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice Programme.
Martin Kay - Physiotherapist - MSc, BSc (Hons), Dip Ortho Med, mCSP, Physiofirst registered, HPC registered.
Born in the North-West of England, Martin moved to Leeds in 1994 to study Physiology at Leeds University. On completing his first honours degree he then went on to complete his second by qualifying as a Physiotherapist at Northumbria University in 2000.
Martin worked at South Tyneside District hospital for 8 years, gaining comprehensive knowledge and experience in assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions. During this time he undertook his Masters degree in Manual Therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University and qualified as an injection therapist through a Diploma with the Orthopaedic Medicine Society.
From South Tyneside District Hospital he then worked for three years as a Consultant Physiotherapist at South Tyneside Intermediate Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment service (STIMATs). Martin now works full-time at Pier Physiotherapy Clinics. He is a keen footballer and also enjoys playing tennis and golf.
